Graduation ceremony celebrates former addicts

GradMen and women who have battled their way to freedom from addiction were recognized at our 2017 Graduation Ceremony in Fraserburgh’s AOG Central recently.

On the night, all of the graduates shared their powerful stories of overcoming major challenges to find freedom from life-controlling issues.

Each of the men and women entered Teen Challenge with their lives in ruins, but graduated on April 2 emotionally, physically and spiritually renewed, with bright futures ahead of them.

Area Manager of Teen Challenge North East Scotland, Gordon Cruden, said: “Our graduations are always an absolute highlight of the Teen Challenge North East Scotland year.

“Those who graduated have done extremely well to complete our recovery programme, which is certainly no easy feat.

“Each of the men and women have worked hard to deal with the underlying issues of their addictions, through counselling, Bible-based classes and a work programme, which is designed to help them gain skills and develop a good work ethic.

“On the night, we saw once-broken families restored and celebrating getting their loves ones back again.”
